Furniture is like music

At Milan Design Week 2026, teenage engineering took over a room at Drop City to showcase their products alongside an interactive sound installation. The Peepers stools were placed throughout the room, stacked to adjust to the right seat height for each instrument on display — gathered two or three at a time wherever people sat down to play.
It's a fitting pairing. Both practices treat their objects as instruments — things meant to be handled and played with rather than simply looked at. Here, the Peepers took on that same logic: not fixed pieces of furniture, but something to stack, adjust, and pull up as needed, shaping themselves around however people wanted to sit and engage with the sound.
